If you are a regular visitor, you know that I am a HUGE fan of SwimWays products. We have been using them with Davin since he was a tiny tot and still use the products with not only him but also his cousins.
What could be more fun than having your child’s favorite Paw Patrol characters on their SwimWays Swim Trainers this year? Available at your local Walmart in the seasonal section (Ours was an end cap attached to the aisle with pool floats and chemicals near the garden center).

SwimWays has always been an industry leader in not only promoting great products for learning to swim but for encouraging families to learn about water safety and taking swim lessons. Their new Paw Patrol Swim Trainers are a Step 2 product and is a U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal floatation device for kids (weighing 30-50 lbs). We love the soft texture and no painful marks (like some inflatable arm floats we grew up with and are still on the market). The adjustable back strap is great for getting a perfect fit that is secure and comfortable.

The accessibility of the back strap is great for parents to get on and off easily but also is in the perfect place that your child can not reach it themselves.
This particular Step 2 SwimWays Swim Trainer is designed to be gender neutral and comes in soft fabric that features fun graphics of three of the top favorite characters from the popular Nick Jr. show, Paw Patrol: Marshall, Chase, and Skye. Your kids are going to love the design and you are going to love the safety aspect!

If your child is not quite ready or of age/height for the Step 2 products they do have options for Step 1 such as their Spring Floats. Those are great as they fold in to their carry case, are light weight, provide shade for the little ones, and are also soft and premium quality.

Remember, it is never too early to learn to swim. Many babies start as early as six months old and can even learn to safe themselves in a crisis involving water by learning to turn over and float. I am a huge advocate for swim classes. Even know Davin has completed three years with his Swim Coach, we are signed up for this Summer as well. You never know what circumstances your child may end up in at a pool, beach, lake, or even tub. Knowledge and safety are power.

Not only is swimming a great life lesson and safety measure but it encourages discipline like any other sport and builds strength and endurance. Many swim schools will start out with the younger children in a parent and tot class. It is scary the statistics on how many adults still do not know how to swim. Let’s make the next generation a group of kids who have a love of water, knowledge of safety, and provide them with all the tools they need now to get started!
